We all survived the move to New Mexico. We drove and drove and drove and drove, slept, drove some more, drove and drove and drove and drove, and we got to Kanona's house, so we took a break. We were fed some yummy pizza for dinner, provided with comfy beds, and decided to unload the truck in the morning. The truck got unloaded into a storage unit, and our 4 bedroom house furnishings and all our stuff fit into ONE unit! Hopefully we will be able to move it all again soon into our home in New Mexico. For now, we are in Kanona's house waiting to get some good news about owning a 2nd home, and selling our 1st one...
Kent helped us SO MUCH! He drove our UHaul truck, and provided some needed muscles in the unloading. We sent him home from El Paso on an airplane, and he texted me that he made it just before 11 pm. It was hard to send him home, I wanted to keep him here... Ah well, he was wonderful to help us so much, when we really needed some help. With Kary's broken collarbone healing, he can't lift heavy things, and what else is there to lift when you move??! So anyways Kent, you are a lifesaver!!
Kind of a funny side note: it was NOT funny when it happened, but it worked out really well. In all the hustle and hectic mayhem of the move, our portable DVD player for the car was packed in the Uhaul trailer, I was very upset, and worried about 5 kids in the car for a 19 hour move. We tried to find it, but there was no way we were going to unload the whole trailer! So sadly we chalked it up to bad luck, and decided to make the best of the trip without it. But as we got going, we had 3 vehicles, Kary's truck, the UHaul truck, and the suburban, so the kids were all separated and moved around to different vehicles, and we realized that we didn't miss the DVD player at all!! NICE!! But, Ysabel only got to ride with Kent once, because she was feeling her freedom with Kent, and got the WILD idea to OPEN THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY!!! She scared both her and Kent pretty good there, and rode with Dad the rest of the way :)
I have been pretty emotional about leaving Idaho, family, and all my friends... I love you all I hope to stay in touch, feel free to call, or email or post on facebook, ANYTHING!! You all mean so much to me, and will forever! I love you, talk to you soon...
